Tips and Tricks: Give Your Business A Spark

Give Your Business A Spark

If your business needs a spark, consider is a landing page.

A landing page is an infomercial on the net. It is a direct response ad. It attempts to close right on the web page. Additional pages and support material are not required.

A landing page is not a web site. A landing page is a single web page. They are long pages containing a compelling story. They include a great headline, great text, great testimonials, and great photos. A landing page represents the end of someone's web search. It's the point where your prospect says, "I've found it." Once your prospect sees your landing page, they take action. There is no need to look further.

Landing pages need prospects. General web traffic isn't what you want. You want targeted traffic looking for what you sell. You get that from Google. You buy ad placement on search terms that specifically match your offer. Then you direct that traffic to your landing page, not to your web site.

Google ads aren't cheap so be careful. When someone needs something they go to Google. Your Google ad comes up on the search. They click your ad and BAM, they're at your landing pate - the end of their search. You have what they need so they place the order. It's an easy way to get new customers.

All landing pages are not created equal. To be successful the landing page must close. This sets the bar high for the designer. You have to get into the heads of your prospects, figure out what they want, and give it to them. It takes a compelling landing page to get people to pull out their wallet. But it can be done. All the pieces are there. You just need to put them together in a way that works.
