Tips and Tricks: The Real Value of a Site

The Real Value of a Site

People are careful about who they hire. Now they've added a new pre-hiring test that we have to pass. It's called the Web Site "legitimacy test."

In today's wired world, when someone sees your name they go straight to the web to look up the Web Site. They use the site to determine if your company is legitimate. How many people are doing this?

Enquiro Search Solutions conducted a well-designed study of approximately 1,500 participants who responded to a 40-question survey about business buying habits. When participants were asked how they would go about making a purchase, 93.2% said they would research the purchase online.

Web Sites traditionally have been thought of as a source of new leads. Now they have become a way for people to check you out when they want to buy from you. An overwhelming majority (93 percent) of them go to the Web before buying anything.

Arrival on the Web Site is a tipping point. You don't have to have the greatest site in the world, but it should be professional and organized. If people like your site the sale is as good as closed.

Your site should reflect well on your company. Your other marketing will improve if your Site makes a positive impression. Focus on what a prospect sees. When the site makes a good impression buying decisions tip in your favor. Who knows? The site could be the missing ingredient.
